What is PROFINET?

Difference between PROFINET and PROFIBUS?

PROFINET runs over industrial Ethernet (high-speed, real-time, IT-friendly); PROFIBUS is an established fieldbus for controller-to-device comms. Many plants run both.

What cable does PROFINET use?

4-wire Type A (solid, fixed) or Type B (stranded, flexible) with a rugged PUR jacket. 3C3 offers both plus field-termination plugs.

Yes – sealed IP67/IP68 keystones, patch cords, outlets and mounting boxes, plus DIN-rail panels and rugged racks.
